For example, our group has loaned to a clothing retailer in Tajikistan, a beauty salon in Uganda, and a farmer in Lebanon. That $25 goes a long way in most places, and will help families provide food, clothing, and education for their children. Microfinance helps people out of poverty, and assists in bottom -up economic development of entire countries.
